Lynn Anderson
Dance Troupe Director/Modern Instruction

God gave Lynn the love of dancing at the age of three.  She studied tap, gymnastics, jazz, ballet, and modern feverishly most of her life.  At 15 years of age, Lynn met Miss Emily Adams who is also a faculty member at Pleasant Ridge.  Miss Emily was a mentor and teacher and Lynn was able to attend her classes at Radford College with the college students where Miss Emily was an artist in residence.  Emily gave Lynn every outlet to perform – “The Nutcracker”, Raymonda Variations, and a hallmark experience of dancing the “Pas du Dais” from Swan Lake with guest artist Kenneth Hughes of American Ballet Theatre!  What a thrill!  Lynn studied at NCSA for two years, having the privilege of working with some of the finest teachers and artist in the dance field.  She has performed in many ballets and modern pieces with Bristol Ballet Company, Greensboro Ballet, the Mannings in NYC, and Pace University Confluence in NYC.  Lynn has a BFA and MFA in dance with teaching certification.  Dancing was her first consuming passion and still is the most inexplicable means she knows of to speak without words to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and more importantly, a powerful means through which He reveals and expresses Himself to us.
