ABOUT MTC (PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE AUDITIONING)
Repertory336’s Musical Theatre Company is an elite, year-long training and performance program for dedicated performers. This group is held to a very high standard—it requires consistent commitment, discipline, and personal accountability.
Company members are expected to:
– Participate in weekly training, including private voice, dance technique, and musical theatre classes (acting + music theory)
– Commit to a full-year schedule of rehearsals, intensives, and performances
– Actively pursue growth both inside and outside of rehearsal time
– Be reliable, prepared, and fully engaged at all required commitments
Because of the rigor and expectations, auditions are limited to rising 8th graders through high school seniors. Repertory336 produces one full-length production annually, along with additional performance opportunities including community events, recitals, and our annual fundraiser. This program is designed for performers who are: driven, disciplined, collaborative, curious, and ready to be challenged.
IMPORTANT
Auditioning does not guarantee placement. Space in MTC is limited. Students who are selected will receive an Invitation Statement outlining full expectations and commitments. Enrollment is only confirmed once this agreement is reviewed and signed by both student and parent.
COMPANY STRUCTURE
Full Company Member
A Company Member is a highly committed performer who excels in at least two areas of musical theatre and is actively working toward mastery in all three (acting, voice, dance). These students thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Key expectations include:
– Participation in full production and community performances
– Advanced training in acting (Meisner technique) and music theory
– Independent work outside of rehearsal
– Mid-year evaluations
– Participation in an additional musical outside of MTC
Apprentice Member
Apprentices are held to the same standards as Company Members, while building the foundation needed to succeed in the program. This level is ideal for students who show strong potential and readiness to grow within a structured, demanding environment.
Key expectations include:
– Participation in production (ensemble/understudy roles)
– Rehearsal support, including swing responsibilities
– Foundational Meisner training
– Required coursework in Musical Theatre and Music Proficiency
– Evaluation for advancement to Full Company Member
If you are ready to commit to a program that will challenge you and support you as you grow into a young theatre professional, we encourage you to audition. We’re looking forward to seeing your work.
